Change of software.
Having been cronking along on scrawky old php-nuke for the last 3 years, I've updated the site with some spangly new software at last (woo!)
As you may have noticed (or indeed not), I haven't bothered to migrate the old content since, well, it's old, innit? Unfortunately, the old software didn't allow you to record your birthday so everyone's magically turned 21. *ahem* Well, apart from those that have updated their birthdays of course. What else is new? The events sections been given a complete rework as the old one was a pain in the bum to add stuff to. This one should be much easier, particularly since you can now copy previous events to pre-fill the submissions form with (handy for those that run a monthly club!) The profiles sections has been greatly expanded with the intent to create not just a vanilla profile page but a kind of mini-site for each user - there's work still to be done but it's getting there. The message center is also a complete rewrite. I tried mod'ing the old one but to be honest, nuke code is a bit of a mess. This new one does more stuff too, most notably message blasts and SMS sending. The music box is new. I threw out my old nuke module code and started from the ground up on that one. There's still a few bits to add to that but the basic version that's there now still lets you vote on and record CD collections. There's a load of features still to pass testing but any feedback on what's here now would be most cool. Ta!
